Support & editorial
SafeRabies is a public-information project about rabies prevention, post-exposure care, and pet vaccination. If you have a question about our content, need to flag a correction, want to discuss a privacy request, or are a journalist researching rabies coverage, you can reach the right inbox below.
If you have just been bitten or scratched:
Do not wait for an email reply. Wash the wound with soap and running water for at least 15 minutes and contact your nearest emergency room, urgent-care clinic, or public-health department immediately. See our emergency response guide for the next steps.
We route questions through dedicated addresses so the right person sees them first. Picking the closest match below helps your message reach the right place first time.

Spotted an error, outdated statistic, or a citation that needs updating? Send the URL and a short note. We follow our published editorial standards for every correction.
Use this for data access, deletion, or any GDPR/CCPA request. Include the email address you used on the site so we can verify your request.
Journalists, public-health communicators, and researchers can reach us for sourcing questions, data, or interview requests about the site.
Every page on SafeRabies that gives medical guidance is checked against current CDC, WHO, and peer-reviewed clinical sources before publication and re-checked when that guidance changes. How we source and check content is described on our editorial standards page.
If you find an error, please send the page URL, the specific claim you are flagging, and the source you would like us to consider, to editorial@saferabies.com. If we agree with the correction, we update the page, log the change in our internal changelog, and add a visible “Updated” timestamp.
We do not run advertorial, paid link insertions, or sponsored articles that influence editorial content, and we do not currently accept guest contributions.

Data and privacy requests
If you or someone you know has been bitten by an animal, seek immediate medical attention. Call emergency services or go to the nearest hospital.
No. We publish educational content sourced from CDC and WHO guidance, but we are not your clinician. If you were just bitten or scratched, wash the wound with soap and running water for at least 15 minutes and contact your local emergency room, urgent-care clinic, or public-health department immediately. The CDC and WHO both recommend that the bite-evaluation and post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP) decision be made by a licensed clinician in person.
Include the page URL you are asking about, a short description of the issue, and any source you would like us to consider. For correction requests, citing a primary source (CDC, WHO, a peer-reviewed paper, or a state health department) helps us verify and act faster.
We are a small team and reply as soon as we reasonably can; we do not promise a fixed turnaround. Editorial corrections are published once we can verify them against primary sources. Privacy requests receive a substantive response within 30 days, in line with GDPR and CCPA requirements.
We do not accept paid placements, link insertions, or sponsored articles that influence editorial content. We do not currently accept guest posts. If you are a credentialed clinician, veterinarian, or public-health professional and spot something that needs correcting, we welcome that at editorial@saferabies.com.
Yes. Clinics offering human rabies post-exposure prophylaxis, animal rabies vaccinations, or veterinary rabies services can request a listing. Send the practice name, address, phone, hours, and a contact person to contact@saferabies.com and we will verify and add the listing.
We store contact-form submissions only as long as needed to respond and audit our response process. We never sell or share your email with third parties. Full details are in our privacy policy.
