Editorial standards & corrections

Every page on SafeRabies that gives medical guidance is reviewed against current CDC, WHO, and peer-reviewed clinical sources before publication and is re-checked at least once per year. Reviewers and contributors are listed on our editorial policy and medical review policy pages.

If you find an error, please send the page URL, the specific claim you are flagging, and the source you would like us to consider, to editorial@saferabies.com. We acknowledge correction requests within two business days. If we agree, we update the page, log the change in our internal changelog, and add a visible “Updated” timestamp.

We do not run advertorial, paid link insertions, or sponsored articles that influence editorial content. We accept guest contributions only from credentialed clinicians, veterinarians, and public-health professionals through our medical-review board.

Frequently asked questions

Can SafeRabies give me medical advice about a specific bite?

No. We publish medically reviewed educational content but we are not your clinician. If you were just bitten or scratched, wash the wound with soap and running water for at least 15 minutes and contact your local emergency room, urgent-care clinic, or public-health department immediately. The CDC and WHO both recommend that the bite-evaluation and post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP) decision be made by a licensed clinician in person.

What information should I include when I write to you?

Include the page URL you are asking about, a short description of the issue, and any source you would like us to consider. For correction requests, citing a primary source (CDC, WHO, a peer-reviewed paper, or a state health department) helps us verify and act faster.

How fast will I get a reply?

Most general questions are answered within 48 hours on business days. Editorial corrections are acknowledged within two business days and published as soon as we can verify them with primary sources. Privacy requests receive a substantive response within 30 days, in line with GDPR and CCPA requirements.

Do you accept guest posts or sponsored content?

We do not accept paid placements, link insertions, or sponsored articles that influence editorial content. We do work with credentialed experts (veterinarians, infectious-disease physicians, public-health professionals) who want to contribute to our medical-review board. Reach out through editorial@saferabies.com with your credentials.

I run a clinic. Can you list us in the clinic finder?

Yes. Clinics offering human rabies post-exposure prophylaxis, animal rabies vaccinations, or veterinary rabies services can request a listing. Send the practice name, address, phone, hours, and a contact person to contact@saferabies.com and we will verify and add the listing.

How do you handle the information I send?

We store contact-form submissions only as long as needed to respond and audit our response process. We never sell or share your email with third parties. Full details are in our privacy policy.
