SafeRabies is a public-information project about rabies prevention, post-exposure care, and pet vaccination. If you have a question about our content, need to flag a correction, want to discuss a privacy request, or are a journalist researching rabies coverage, you can reach the right inbox below.

Do not wait for an email reply. Wash and flush the wound with soap and running water for about 15 minutes when possible and contact your nearest emergency room, urgent-care clinic, or public-health department immediately. See our emergency response guide for the next steps.

Every page on SafeRabies that gives medical guidance is checked against current CDC, WHO, and peer-reviewed clinical sources before publication and re-checked when that guidance changes. How we source and check content is described on our editorial standards page.
If you find an error, please send the page URL, the specific claim you are flagging, and the source you would like us to consider, to editorial@saferabies.com. If we agree with the correction, we update the page, log the change in our internal changelog, and add a visible “Updated” timestamp.
We do not run advertorial, paid link insertions, or sponsored articles that influence editorial content, and we do not currently accept guest contributions.
If you believe a SafeRabies page contains outdated or incorrect information, contact us with the page URL, the statement in question, and a reliable source. We review corrections and update content when supported by official or credible sources.

Frequently asked questions
Can SafeRabies give me medical advice about a specific bite?
No. We publish educational content sourced from CDC and WHO guidance, but we are not your clinician. After a possible exposure, wash and flush the wound immediately with soap and running water for about 15 minutes when possible, then seek prompt medical or public-health assessment. A licensed professional should make the post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP) decision. If time has passed, still seek guidance.
What information should I include when I write to you?
Include the page URL you are asking about, a short description of the issue, and any source you would like us to consider. For correction requests, citing a primary source (CDC, WHO, a peer-reviewed paper, or a state health department) helps us verify and act faster.
How fast will I get a reply?
We are a small team and reply as soon as we reasonably can; we do not promise a fixed turnaround. Editorial corrections are published once we can verify them against primary sources. Privacy requests receive a substantive response within 30 days, in line with GDPR and CCPA requirements.
Do you accept guest posts or sponsored content?
We do not accept paid placements, link insertions, or sponsored articles that influence editorial content. We do not currently accept guest posts. If you are a credentialed clinician, veterinarian, or public-health professional and spot something that needs correcting, we welcome that at editorial@saferabies.com.
How do you handle the information I send?
We store contact-form submissions only as long as needed to respond and audit our response process. We never sell or share your email with third parties. Full details are in our privacy policy.
